Come on Board at the GMFRC!

Did you know that the Gagetown Military Family Resource Centre  (GMFRC) is governed by a volunteer Board of Directors.  The Board of Directors is comprised of at least 51% military spouses, with the remaining members being comprised of  CF members, Ex-Officios, retired CF members, and parents of single CF members. The Board is presently accepting applications from CF members, retired CF members, military spouses and parents of single CF members for potential Board membership.
As a volunteer member of the GMFRC Board of Directors, you will be provided the opportunity to participate in unique and varied experiences, all of which are transferable to other aspects of life.  There are opportunities to take leadership roles, learn about the functions of a governing Board, participate in professional development courses, and strategic planning.    If you like being part of a team and working toward enhancing your community, then consider joining the GMFRC Board of Directors.  There is much to gain from volunteering ...fun, friendship, skill-sharing and skill development. 
The Board is responsible for developing policies and the vision statement, reviewing and approving the annual Funding application, approving the annual budget, reviewing the community needs assessment, and evaluating programs and services offered through the GMFRC.  The Board meets monthly, so if you have skills to contribute to a great organization then we’d love to have you on Board!

Representing your community...

We are a volunteer board of directors comprised of military spouses and CF Members. We have one Ex-officio member who represents the local commander and other ex-officio who represent various units at CFB Gagetown. We are all representatives of your community who are dedicated to governing the Gagetown MFRC and ensuring that it is the best it can be!

Board Responsibilities:

• Develop Mission and Vision Statements
• Review and approve MFRC Policies
• Review Funding Applications and Budgets
• Evaluations and Community Assessments of programs and services
• Evaluate the Executive Director
• Board Recruitment
• Conduct Annual General Meeting
