Computer / Internet Services:
We have 2 computers that are available to the military community for usage. This is a free service, however it is strongly suggested that people call to make an appointment to use the computers. Telephone number: 422-2000 ext. 3352.
Computer usage rules:
- No downloading or adding of any programs onto the computers
- No viewing of illegal sites (pornography)
Equipment Rental:The GMFRC has a host of baby equipment and items that can be rented at a cost of $1/day plus a refundable deposit of $20. Week-ends and statuary holidays are free of charge. Upon return, the item is assessed and if returned clean and in the same standards as when it was borrowed, the $20 deposit will be returned.
Items such as car seats, booster seats, playpens are available!
Babysitting Binder is available at the reception desk to seek adult or teen sitters. Note that the responsibility to screen sitters is that of the parents, the GMFRC has not screened any sitters.
GMFRC Used book/magazine exchange - Operates on a “leave one-take one” basis and is Free.
Resource Library: The GMFRC has a large resource library covering a wide range of topics. Books are specially chosen to supplement the various programs offered at the Center. Subjects span the entire spectrum of life from pregnancy, childbirth and parenting through to relationships, military life, financial planning and career planning. We are gradually acquiring some crafting books for those of you looking for creative inspiration. Our specialty is current and topical self-help books.
Membership is $5 and books may be borrowed for a two-week period. So come in, browse, add your suggestions to the library message board and take advantage of this valuable resource. Just ask the receptionist for a membership.
